This is my third year of teaching at Ottawa Hills Elementary School! I am very excited and proud to be joining the first grade Green Bear team. Previously I taught 5th and 6th Grade at Ottawa Hills Elementary, and taught one year of 6th grade Science and Social Studies at Eisenhower Intermediate School within Oregon Local Schools.  Prior to that, I taught 5th Grade at Trinity Lutheran School for 10 years.

I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Middle Childhood Education from the University of Findlay in 2006.  My Master's Degree in Educational Curriculum and Instruction was received in 2009 from Bowling Green State University. I also earned my Colloquy degree from Concordia University of Ann Arbor in 2009. This past school year, I completed  coursework through Ashford University to receive my Pre-K to 3 Early Childhood Supplemental License from the State of Ohio. I am so excited and eager to be moving to teach first grade!

As the first grade teacher at Ottawa Hills Elementary, I am overjoyed to be able to share my love of learning and passion for teaching through the education, guidance, and encouragement of my students.  I utilize hands-on, interactive, student-centered learning, and feel that every day should be a fun exploration of the world around us!

I have been married to my loving and supportive husband, Erik, for 12 wonderful years. We are blessed to be the proud parents of adorable fraternal twin 4 year old boys, named Elijah and Micah. We also have a sweet 5 year old little boy named Ethan.  At home, we have a cute and cuddly 10 year old black lab named Chloe. In my free time, I love spending quality time with my family, traveling, snorkeling, swimming, reading, biking, skiing, whitewater rafting, and camping. I am also a huge fan of the Cincinnati Bengals football team!
